Our origins

About us

The name “Beppa Fioraia” does not come from a family of restaurateurs, but from a popular figure of nineteenth-century Florence:
Giuseppina Caciotti, known as “Beppa la fioraia” (Beppa the flower lady).

She was a well-known and beloved character in Florence during the mid-to-late 1800s: she would sell or give away flowers on the city streets, greeting everyone with a smile — from workers to aristocrats — becoming a local icon of warmth and kindness.

The choice of this name aims to evoke that very spirit of warm hospitality and authenticity, brought into the context of modern cuisine.
