The spirit of Beppa
Our name comes from Giuseppina Caciotti, the flower lady who in the nineteenth century used to give away
flowers and smiles on the streets of Florence. Her spirit of generosity lives on in
our way of welcoming you: with warmth, simplicity and a set table.
Beppa Fioraia
Our name tells a story that begins in the nineteenth century, with Giuseppina Caciotti, known in the streets of Florence as “Beppa la Fioraia” — the flower lady. With her smile and her flowers, she became a symbol of warmth and kindness in the Oltrarno neighbourhood.
Today, her spirit lives on between our tables: in the genuine welcome, in the care for every detail, in a cuisine that speaks of home and tradition.

Beppa Fioraia is much more than a restaurant. It is a piece of Florence. For over 75 years our restaurant has been a landmark in the San Niccolò neighbourhood, at the foot of Piazzale Michelangelo. Today, with renewed energy, we carry forward a tradition of hospitality and authentic flavours.

Strong roots, open table
We have not passed through time unscathed. We have been through difficult moments — a crisis that in 2018 risked closing our doors, and a fire that in 2021 destroyed our kitchen. But we have always got back on our feet, with the same determination as Beppa, who never stopped smiling.
Today we are here, stronger than before, with a renovated kitchen, a blossoming garden and a team that believes in what it does. Every dish we serve carries the weight of this story and the lightness of starting again.
